Mercury Direct Catapult 2/20, 2021
Is that the Perseverance Rover, you ask? Well, yes it is hanging out on Mars, tiny-looking, just above Saturn in our photo montage. Proof that not everything mechanical goes wrong during Mercury Retrograde!
It was a picture perfect landing on 2/18/21, but how did it escape the Mercury Rx curse? Well, it had at least these key points in its favor:
(1)It was planned and initiated long before this current Mercury Cycle, so was not constrained by it energetically. It hadn’t been conceived of and then shoved under the rug of neglect either, in the run up to February 18th. No dust or mold had accumulated on this project!
(2) The well-prepared team of ace scientists and technicians in and out of the JPL headquarters (Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA) didn’t just write some software, put their feet up, and call it a day while handing things off to the manufacturing and mission production teams. They all did far more than triple check their work, as we always advise during Mercury Retrograde. No; they checked, rechecked, tested, simulated, and inspected all work many times over. As one of the senior team leaders said during the livestream touchdown broadcast— and so gutsy to let us in on what was a top-flight risky process!— their careers were on the line, and they worked diligently to insure the success of one and all.
Many congrats to NASA and the JPL Teams. The inspiration and heart-racing feelings many had on that day remind us of what humanity is capable of in the plus column of life. We need such role models! Especially lately.

But wait a minute Diane, what’s that hulking blue contraption lower down in the picture, trying mightily to balance our solar system as it lumbers across Earth?
Well, remember the momentum you were pleading for more of (like always) during this Mercury Retrograde?
Get ready, because here’s the CATAPULT you ordered, ready to hurl you into your future, with nothing holding you back, as of 2/20/21 at 4:52 PM PST.
This catapult means serious business as you will see. It’s fueled by the ongoing pile-up of planets in forward motion (all Direct!) until April 27th. A mysterious celestial superwoman has suddenly flown in on Aquarian wings to zap Mercury into the lead… full speed ahead!!
This is no ordinary Mercury Retrograde Cycle.
If you think it’s been a wild ride since early-mid January when Uranus was the last planet to push the Direct cavalcade, here comes a speed-demon’s crescendo over the next 65 days.
What’s a lil ol’ Earthling to do?
For starters, pay attention to Mother Nature! She’s not kidding these days. Bluster and fluster is not going to cut it as a response. Muster your calm and generous values, installing any upgrades to your conscience and habits as needed, to get you aligned with a future that works for all.
This a not a five-minute or even 5-day project.
Much like the aptly named Perseverance and the mega-team that created its successful Mars trajectory, this is something that will take more than you, and more than passive applause for those already on the public stage, who are showing us both what— and what not— to do, by their own actions.
Earth’s Big Adventure is its very future existence as a verdant Planet of Life.
Are you in?

Recap of upcoming Key Dates in the immediate rush to the Future:
February 20th, Mercury goes Stationary Direct, which typically means delays and difficulties can begin to move forward to resolution.
March 14th, the Mercury Cycle completes.
April 27th to October 6th, Pluto goes Retrograde at 27° Capricorn, activating unresolved power struggles & triggering new revelations.
May 23rd to October 10th, Saturn goes Retrograde at 13° Aquarius, adding its penchant for exercising parental control in any fracas.
Stay tuned, as humanity has a habit of being dragged kicking and protesting into a better future, bless our often stubborn little selves.
